Supervision

Innovative Behavior Analysis Support Systems, LLC, provides supervision for those seeking certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and those already certified as a BCaBA or RBT.

BACB® REQUIREMENTS

Applicants seeking certification cannot begin supervised fieldwork until they have begun BACB® approved coursework.


BCBA Applicants must accumulate 1500 hours of supervised independent fieldwork, of which 5% (75 hours) must be direct supervision once every two weeks.


BCaBA  Applicants must accumulate 1000 hours of supervised independent fieldwork, of which 5% (50 hours) must be direct supervision once every two weeks.

BCaBA Monthly Supervision

Innovative Behavior Analysis Support Systems, LLC, provides monthly supervision for BCaBAs. 

The BACB® requires at least one hour of supervision per month.


First 1,000 hours of post-certification practice: supervision must be at least 5% of the total number of behavior-analytic service hours provided per month, with no less than one hour of supervision every two weeks.


Ongoing supervision (after first 1,000 hours): supervision must be at least 2% of the total number of behavior-analytic service hours provided per month. Note: BCaBAs certified prior to January 1, 2017, are exempt from the initial 5% period.


The supervisor must observe the BCaBA performing behavior-analytic activities with a client in the natural environment at least once each quarter.  In-person supervision must include direct observation of actual service provision with individuals.

RBT Supervision

Innovative Behavior Analysis Support Systems, LLC, provides supervision for RBTs. 

The BACB® requires at least 5% of the hours providing behavior analytic services per month must be supervised.

Monthly, two face-to-face supervision sessions must be conducted.  At least one, direct observation of actual service provision with individuals.

One of the two supervision sessions per month must be individual supervision the remain session may be small group.
